Sode Novatus Matiku MD, MSc

Public Health Specialist

Sode is an MD and a public health specialist with a post-graduate degree in Health Promotion and Public Health. He works as a consultant and partner for New Dimension Consulting (NEDICO) a Public Health consulting company based in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. He has advanced competencies in programme design, proposal development, Monitoring and Evaluation; development of guidelines and training packages; disease surveillance and research. Furthermore, Sode is a consultant on the UNOPS/Stop TB Partnership roster for Public Private Mix (PPM), TB REACH and for supporting countries in Global Fund proposals; Technical Assistance Program (TAP) consultant for Bristol Myers Squib Foundation (BMSF). He has worked with different international and local organizations in over 15 African countries including Avanir Health, Genesis Analytics, WHO, ICAP, I-TECH, KNCV, Amref Africa, REPSSI, Help Age, JHPIEGO, SIKIKA, PATH, Ministries of Health, CUAMM Doctors with Africa, EGPAF, Benjamin Mkapa Foundation, MDH and others.

Baraka Denis Kaaya

Data Management Specialist

Baraka is a Data Management Specialist with a Post-Graduate diploma in Business Management. He works as M&E and data analyst consultant and partner for public health consulting company in Tanzania. Mr. Kaaya has advanced experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation of behaviour and social change communication campaigns as well as advocacy in HIV, MCH, and GBV with superb organization, strategic leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills. Mr. Kaaya has supervised professional and support staff in a multi-linguistic environment and led M&E operations in East Africa. He is skilled in managing multi-faceted scientific data analyses.

Anither Karugila

Social Scientist

Anither is a social scientist who has a background in Linguistics from the University of Dar es Salaam and Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Anither has been working as an administration officer at New Dimension Consulting NEDICO. She has experience of working as a researcher in various researches for more than 11 years especially Medical and Public Health Research, Humanity Research, Gender, Electricity etc.

She has been also working as a translator, interpreter, Conference/Workshop/Meeting Reporter, Editor, Language Instructor, Voice over, Foreign researcher Guider, TV Program host and presenter, etc. She has worked as a consultant in Various Organisations and Institutions including USAID, CUAMM/DFID, Aga Khan Foundation, Millennium Challenge Account, IBTCI of Vienna, Virginia in the USA, University of Dar es Salaam, Institute of Swahili Research, Mathematical Policy Research of Washington DC in the USA, Damax Solution, Care International of Canada, Benjamin William Mkapa HIV/AIDS Foundation (BMAF), National Aids Control Programme (NACP), National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme (NTLP), HelpAge International, FHI 360, Marie Stopes, I-TECH, Frog Design Group UK, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, EngenderHealth, CSR Group Africa, , TRAMIGO LTD Co Finland, etc.

Consultant Profiles

Mr. Daudi Nasib

Daudi Nasib is an experienced outcome-driven senior consultant and technical advisor with expertise and experience in health programming, policy, strategy, guidelines, frameworks development, facilitation, evaluation and documentation. Mr. Nasib has provided consultancy services in the review and development of national TB and HIV strategies, guidelines and standard operational procedures, including:  Mid-term review of the National Multisectoral Strategy for HIV and AIDS IV and development of the National Multisectoral Strategic Framework for HIV (NMSF V); Development of the National Community PMTCT Operational Framework; Mid-term Review of the Tanzania Health Sector Strategic Plan IV and development of the Health Sector HIV Strategic plan V. His other areas of expertise include proposal writing, programs development, evaluations and documentation for Gender transformation, ASRHR, SGBV, SBCC, HIV and AIDS, TB and financial inclusion for women’s economic empowerment and applying rights-based approaches for Key and Vulnerable Populations. He combines his hands-on, in-depth knowledge on the socio-economic landscape of communities, superb analytical stills to deliver strong reports and documents. He has over 20 years of practical experience in program management and consultancy where has led numerous studies, reviews and evaluations for Government, UN organizations, international and local organizations.

Dr. Mercy Minde

Mercy Minde is a child health specialist with over sixteen years of work experience. She works as a direct care provider for children and adolescents living with HIV. She is a trainer and consultant in the field of Pediatrics and adolescents HIV care. She is competent in program design and implementation, proposal development, development of guidelines, strategic plan and training packages.

She has worked as employee/ consultant with National AIDS Control Program (Tanzania), Baylor International Pediatrics AIDS Initiative (Tanzania/USA), Baylor Tanzania, University of Maryland in Baltimore (Tanzania), German Tropical Pediatrics and PENTA. 

Dr. Erenia Sambua

Dr. Erenia Peter Sambua is a public health specialist with a post graduate degree in Public Health working as a consultant. She completed her medical training at University of Dar es Salaam and her master of Public Health for professionals at Maastricht University.

She has experience on the design implementation and monitoring of HIV/AIDS and TB programs. Erenia has been engaged in development education, information and communication documents for health. 

Prior to consultancy role Erenia worked with FHI 360 and Deloitte Tanzania in managing a USAID funded HIV program TUNAJALI, where she acquired skills in planning, implementation and monitoring a program. Before joining FHI 360, she worked as general medical practitioner at Bagamoyo District Hospital and Muhimbili National Hospital. At Bagamoyo she led a team to scale up HIV services in district, train, mentor and supervise medical personnel.  

Ms. Elizabeth Ndakidemi

Elizabeth Ndakidemi is a highly experienced social scientist with expertise in health and youth programs, research, and leadership. She has over 17 years of relevant experience in Tanzania, with a particular focus on working with adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and youth projects. As the deputy CEO of TAYOA, Elizabeth has provided technical support for major AGYW/ABYM projects including the DREAMS CDC-PEPFAR project and the Timiza Malengo Global Fund project. She has worked collaboratively with various government stakeholders in AGYW/ABYM areas, including TACAIDS, TASAF, NACP, and PORALG as well as development partners including CDC, UNICEF and USAID.

Elizabeth has actively participated in numerous development and writing projects related to national and program technical documents and reports. She served as the lead consultant for the current National Family Planning Costed Plan (NFCIP) and contributed to the development of the Family Planning training and HIV curriculums and SBCC materials.

Currently, Elizabeth is a consultant who provides technical support to the government and health organizations, conducting research, monitoring and evaluation work, costing, and development of national strategies. Recently, Elizabeth was contracted by UNICEF to provide support for the government in their GC7 funding request, specifically related to HIV prevention. Elizabeth has a BA and MA in Sociology with an emphasis in Health and Population from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. She is fluent in both English and Kiswahili.
